The Frankfort-Schuyler boys basketball team must have experienced some déjà vu against Faith Heritage on Monday.
The Maroon Knights repeated the Saints’ early-season slump by coming back in the second half after falling behind late in the game.
Frankfort-Schuyler outscored Faith Heritage by 17 points in the second half to pull out an impressive 83-75 victory on the road.
The opening quarter was a back-and-forth battle, but Faith Heritage exploded for 25 points in the second period. Excellent Saints Westin Retzos he scored 18 points by halftime.
Like its previous game on Dec. 29 at the Utica Downtown Classic, Frankfort-Schuyler did not disappoint. The Maroon Knights put together a stellar defensive effort in the third quarter and held the Saints to just eight points. Frankfort-Schuyler rode a tying scoring effort to regain the lead in the third and put the game away in the fourth.
The similarities between the two matches were reduced to the margin of victory. Both games between Frankfort-Schuyler and Faith Heritage this season have been decided by eight points.

Frankfort-Schuyler Sr Jerome Bowen led by tying his season high of 21 points. Bowen made an incredible eight free throws in the fourth quarter. Senior Fellow Joseph Mathlin scored a career-best 18 points.
Retzos finished with a game-high 27 points for Faith Heritage. Senior Landon Bregou also scored 14 points.
Faith Heritage (5-4) looks to bounce back after two straight losses with Friday’s game against OnTECH.
Frankfort-Schuyler has won seven in a row and is 11-1 on the campaign. It’s the Maroon Knights’ best 12-game start in 15 years. Frankfort-Schuyler’s next game is against Remsen on Wednesday.
