The NYS Fairgrounds will host the state’s largest sports show this weekend

Annual New York Sportsman’s Expo with this weekend, 23-25 January 2026, returns to the fairgrounds at the NYS Fairgrounds.

Opening hours are Friday from 12pm to 7pm; On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can buy tickets online or at the door.

Tickets are $15 cash ($15.50 by credit card) at the door for adults ages 13-64. Seniors, military, fire, police and children are $13 at the door ($13.50 card), ID required.

Discounted Police, Fire and Military tickets cannot be purchased online, only at the door, ID required. Children under 6 are free.

The Big Buck Wall features trophy bucks collected from all over New York.

Check out a wall of trophy bucks from around the state and earn free point bucks from certified measurers at New York State Big Buck Club table. If your buck qualifies, there is a $25 fee to enter it into the record books.

Kids who aren’t interested in listening to adults talk about log cabins and boat engines will have plenty of fun in the Fun Zone, including bounce houses, a rock wall and a mechanical bull. Children can also fish for trout in the pond. Prices vary by activity.

The nationwide Dock Dogs competition returns for its season-opening event, which will see dogs of all colors jump (or sometimes just fall) into the pool. The longest jumps earn points towards the national title. You can even enter your pouncing pooch competition.
