After accusations from Petro, Daniel Noboa rejects alleged bombings of Colombia

Ecuador is “bombing the places that served as hiding places” for criminal groups “largely Colombian that its own government allowed infiltration into our country due to neglect of its border“said Daniel Noboa through his X account.

Last week, Ecuador attacked a FARC dissident training camp in the border province of Sucumbíos.

“President Petro, your statements are false; we are acting in our territory, not yours,” wrote Noboa, whose country is part of the “Shield of the Americas”an alliance of 17 countries on the continent created by the United States to confront security threats.

Tension between Ecuador and Colombia

Ecuador and Colombia They share a border of about 600 km where Colombian guerrillas and criminal organizations from both countries circulate dedicated to the trafficking of drugs, weapons, people and illegal mining.
