Shooting in Baltimore leaves one police officer injured and the attacker killed

BALTIMORE, Maryland.— This Tuesday, authorities reported that a police officer that responded to a robbery report in Baltimore was shot in the leg by an armed man who was shot dead by another agent.

During the tense confrontation, a woman jumped out of a window and another woman was held at gunpoint by the man before he was shot, the police commissioner said Richard Worley.

“It was relatively quick because he was shooting at our officers,” Worley said.

Injured officer taken to hospital

The agent with a leg wound was in stable condition at the Trauma Center of the University of Maryland. He doctor Thomas Scalea praised the person who applied a tourniquet to the scene.
