Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today that Israel has determination, initiative and cunning in its military operations, and added that “the enemy will still discover more”.
“In an attack, three things are needed: firstly, determination; secondly, initiative and, thirdly, cunning,” he said on a visit to the city of Beersheba, in southern Israel, according to a statement released by his office.
“We have this in abundance, as the enemy has already discovered. And I tell you, citizens of Israel, he will discover even more. We are on track to complete all of our missions,” he then added.
During his visit to the city, Netanyahu remembered the eight Israeli soldiers injured in fighting in Lebanon, five of whom were seriously injured due to a projectile launched from the neighboring country.
“Earlier in the day, five soldiers were seriously injured after projectiles were fired into Israeli territory near the Lebanese border,” said Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani, international spokesman for the Israeli army, during a press conference.
“The soldiers were evacuated to receive medical care at the hospital and their families were informed,” said Shoshani.
“Another three soldiers were slightly injured in the same incident. These soldiers were taken to receive medical care at the hospital and their families were also informed”, said the lieutenant colonel.
Among the three soldiers who were slightly injured was the son of Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.
“I would like to express my best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery to our wounded, including the son of our friend, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, and I want our soldiers and wounded to know that the entire nation supports them,” said the Prime Minister in this regard.
The city where Netanyahu spoke, Beersheba, suffered the impact of a missile or fragments of it last Monday, which left, according to emergency services, 15 people injured by glass cuts, none of them serious.
In the so-called war of the 12 days of June 2025, Beersheba, a location that houses military infrastructures, was attacked several times.
In both conflicts, military censorship prevents the publication of the locations of the impacts or their disclosure, if they occur in critical or military infrastructures.
