Syracuse football hosts three more offensive transfers

Syracuse, NY – Syracuse looks to bolster its offense with three more transfer visits. The Orange hosted the former Western Kentucky tight end Noah Meyers and former South Alabama wide receiver Jeremy Scott for visits.

Syracuse also hosts former Furman quarterback Terry Hedden III on Monday, he said 247 Sports.

Meyers finished 2025 with 357 receiving yards and three touchdowns for the Hilltoppers. He made the Conference-USA All-Freshman team in 2023.

Meyers has two years of eligibility remaining.

Syracuse has received a commitment from former South Carolina tight end Michael Smith and hosts Gavin Harris from New Mexico State. Smith became Orange’s sixth 2026 scholarship recipient.

Scott had 417 receiving yards and four touchdowns for South Alabama in 2025. He averaged 17.4 yards per catch in his redshirt freshman season, leading to interest from Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Mississippi, Wisconsin and Georgia, among others.

A three-star recruit in 2023, Hedden was a first team All-Freshman in the Southern Conference in 2024. He finished 2025 with 17 passes for 2,967 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Hedden is the second quarterback from the SoCon that Syracuse is pursuing. Orange offered Taron Dickens from Fran Brown’s alma mater Western Carolina. Syracuse wide receiver Darius Johnson and Calvin Russell III know Dickens from their time as teammates at Miami Northwestern.

Syracuse also offered West Florida’s Marcus Stokes, while the Orange continue to look for backups to Steve Angeli. Syracuse has what will be a true freshman and a redshirt freshman behind Angeli at this point and needs more experience in the quarterback room.

Syracuse lost three quarterbacks to the transfer window.

The transfer portal opened on Friday and players have until January 16 to enter their names.
