The platform is also in line with new trends in the evaluation of investigative activity. In accordance with the principles of the Declaration of San Francisco (DORA) and the Coalición para el Avance de la Evaluación de la Investigación (CoARA), the project supports qualitative evaluation criteria.
The goal is for the assessment of a work not to depend solely on traditional impact metrics, but on editorial quality and transparency of the processaspects that PEPA documents through persistent identifiers such as DOI and ORCID.
