Despair in Cuba leads to unusual acts of defiance

A protest in the city of Morónin it central Cubaended with an attempted fire at the local headquarters of the Communist Party.

Protesters appeared in streets of Moróna city in central Cuba, on Friday night. What started as a peaceful rallyreported the Cuban state press, intensified when a group of people threw stones against the local headquarters of Communist Partythe only ruling political force in the country. They then broke into the building, dragged some furniture outside and set it on fire.
