“Iran wants to reach an agreement, but I don’t want to do it, because the terms are not yet solid enough,” the tycoon declared during an almost 30-minute interview, adding that any conditions would have to be “very firm.”

For his part, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, affirms that his country is not interested in holding talks with the United States, refuting Donald Trump’s words that Tehran wants an agreement to end the war.
Mixed messages
In the past two weeks, Trump administration officials have sent conflicting messages about U.S. military objectives in Iran and the potential duration of the conflict.
At times, Trump said the operation could last a month or more, while at other times he declared that “we are way ahead” and that “there is virtually nothing left to attack.”
In the interview, Trump commented that “the only power they have — a power that can be neutralized relatively quickly — is the ability to launch mines or short-range missiles. However, once they complete their operations along the coast, they will no longer have even that.”
He later added: “We neutralized most of their missiles. We neutralized most of their drones. We largely dismantled their missile and drone manufacturing facilities. In two days, that capability will be completely destroyed.”
