A PSP agent was injured after being hit by a car containing two men, aged 26 and 46, fleeing on the 25 de Abril Bridge.
The incident took place on the morning of this Friday, March 13, at around 7:52 am, according to Correio da Manhã, which cites a PSP source.
It all started following a PSP stop operation in Praça das Portagens, when the men in the car were approached to stop, and immediately fled.
A chase then began for the vehicle which, already on the bridge deck, collided with another car that was on the road and the motorcycle of one of the agents, who, due to injuries resulting from the fall, had to be transported to the Hospital São Francisco Xavier, in Lisbon.
The vehicle ended up being intercepted further ahead, and the suspects were detained, with the moment being filmed by witnesses who watched everything.
For now, it is only known that the driver did not have a driving license.
It is worth noting that this incident forced the interruption of traffic on the bridge until around 9 am in the direction of Almada – Lisbon.
