This Friday, March 13, Briton George Russell took pole position for the sprint race of the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix taking place this weekend at the Shanghai International Circuit.
The Mercedes driver, winner of the first race of the season in Melbourne, overtook his teammate Kimi Antonelli, who took second place on the starting grid.
The third fastest was the current world champion, Lando Norris in McLaren, closing the top 5 with the two Ferraris of Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari).
This will be the first sprint race of the season, which takes place in the early hours of Saturday, when it is 3am in mainland Portugal.
Victory in the sprint race is worth eight points in the general classification, with second place earning seven points and so on until eighth place, which receives one.
