Six mainland districts under warning Friday and Saturday due to sea unrest

Six districts of mainland Portugal will be under yellow warning on Friday and Saturday due to the forecast of strong sea unrest, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

The warning for the districts of Porto, Viana do Castelo, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga will be in effect between 9pm on Friday and 6pm on Saturday, given the forecast of waves from the northwest of 4 to 5 meters.

The yellow warning is issued by IPMA whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.

The IPMA predicts for today on the continent a generally slightly cloudy sky, with morning cloudiness on the north and central coast, generally weak wind, morning mist or mist, marked nighttime cooling and a small increase in temperature.

Minimum temperatures will range between 4 degrees Celsius (in Bragança) and 10 (in Lisbon and Portalegre) and maximum temperatures between 15 (in Guarda, Porto, Aveiro and Viana do Castelo) and 21 (in Lisbon, Santarém, Setúbal, Évora and Faro).
