The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) warned of a possible risk of drone attack at the 98th Academy Awards ceremony.
The US federal agency, together with various police agencies, announced that they will reinforce the security fence at the event since, according to them, there is a risk that Iran will carry out an attack with explosive drones on the coast of California.

According to their hypothesis, these unmanned aerial vehicles could be operated from an Iranian vessel close to the coast to carry out a “possible surprise attack against unspecified targets in California.”
Due to the above, Raj Kapoorexecutive producer of the award ceremony, explained before a press conference last Wednesday that these security protocols son usual at the event and that the device includes federal, private security, state and local agencies.
He also indicated that “safety is always priority” and that the assistants “they can feel safe and secure.”
For their part, the organizers of the Oscars will work in coordination with the FBI and the Los Angeles Police Department.
