Two more PSP agents assured this Wednesday, March 11, in court that they saw a knife next to the body of Odair Moniz, killed by a police officer in Amadora in 2024, adding that, at the time, they did not discuss it with anyone.
“The important thing there was trying to save a life. I think that making comments about something that was there wouldn’t help the situation one bit”said André Silva, who arrived in the Cova da Moura neighborhood after Bruno Pinto, on trial for murder, shot the Cape Verdean citizen twice.
The agent stated that the knife was close to Odair Moniz’s left hand and had a black handle, but was unable to specify what size the weapon was or what the blade was like.
Another agent who went with André Silva to the Cova da Moura neighborhood corroborated her colleague’s version, without, however, providing certainty that the sharp object she saw corresponded to another that was seized in the process, with whose photograph she was confronted this Wednesday.
