Donald Trump announced this Thursday the departure of Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and in her place, he will appoint Markwayne Mullin; Senator with more than ten years of experience in politics.
The official will take over as the new head of the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as of March 31 of this year.

According to his website, Mullin is an American politician and businessman originally from Tulsa (Oklahoma), educated in Missouri Valley College and in the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technologywhere he obtained sports scholarships in the field of wrestling. He graduated in Engineering and Construction in 2010.
In addition to receiving a doctorate, he had a career in Mixed Martial Arts and worked as a professional wrestler.
Also, he has a business career founding Mullin Plumbing; a family business that he heads together with his wife.
Since 2023, he has served as a Senator from his home state for the Republican Party. Additionally, Mullin is the first congressman of Native American origin for more than 20 years, a member of the Cherokee Nation.
Finally, Trump took the opportunity to praise the future official Markwayne Mullin on his social network Truth Social, whom he described as “a MAGA warrior.”
