The leader was happy for “a radical change” in the defense of the country’s “maritime sovereignty”, something that had not been achieved “in half a century.”
These tests, which include the launch of a sea-to-land cruise missilewere held shortly after the five-year congress of the Communist Party.

During the event, Kim reiterated his commitment to strengthening the military potential of his nuclear-armed country and promised to respond forcefully to any threat.
It also comes shortly after the United States and Israel began their war against Iran with the objective, among others, of destroying its atomic program, its missiles and its navy.
Kim on Tuesday inspected a “Choe Hyon” class ship, one of two commissioned last year as North Korea seeks to bolster its naval capabilities.
On Wednesday, he supervised the launch of the missile, which was carried out “successfully,” according to KCNA.
