“He is a loser, he is not a team player and he is very hostile to NATO”

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has returned to the charge this Thursday against Spain for the rejection of the Government of Pedro Sánchez of his offensive against Iran.

“We have many winners, but Spain is a loser,” the Republican stressed in a telephone interview with the New York Post.

After describing Sánchez on Tuesday as a “terrible ally”, the US president accused the Spanish Government this Thursday of being “very hostile” towards NATO, after recalling, once again, that it is the only ally that refuses to increase defense spending to 5% of its GDP.

“They are very hostile to everyone (…) They are not a team player and we are not going to be a team player with them either,” he warned in another message that suggests retaliation against Spain.
