The president of the PSD proposed this Wednesday, March 4, that direct elections in the party be held in May so that “there is no doubt” and challenges anyone who has a “different and alternative path” to come forward.
Luís Montenegro spoke at the initial intervention of the National Council, open to the media, without ever directly mentioning the name of former Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho, who made several critical interventions directed at the Government in recent weeks.
The last direct elections for the PSD leadership were held in September, but four years ago they were held on May 28th.
