Iran’s Revolutionary Guard controls Strait of Hormuz; attacks hit Lebanon

The Central Command of the US armed forces (CENTCOM) today claimed to have sunk “the entire Iranian Navy” and destroyed hundreds of ballistic missiles since attacks against Iran began on Saturday.

In an update video posted on social media, CENTCOM commander Admiral Brad Cooper stated that attacks launched in conjunction with Israel hit 2000 targets and allowed, in the first 100 hours of operations, to “severely degrade Iranian air defenses”.

“And we will not stop, we will continue to conduct dynamic operations directed against mobile ballistic missile launchers to destroy what would be characterized as Iran’s remaining launch capability,” says Cooper.

In a mission to a military port in southern Iran, dozens of US bombers “sank the entire Iranian Navy”, with 17 ships destroyed, “including the most operational Iranian submarine”.

“For decades, the Iranian regime has harassed international shipping. Today, there is not a single Iranian ship sailing in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz or the Gulf of Oman,” says Cooper.

In addition to ships and hundreds of ballistic missiles, ‘drones’ were also destroyed, according to the head of CENTCOM.

The operations have involved the largest US military device deployed in the region “in the last generation”, stealth bombers B-1 and B-2, and more recently B-52, which targeted command and control centers of Iranian forces.

“Iran’s capability is declining and our capability is increasing,” says Cooper.

In response, he said, Tehran fired 500 ballistic missiles and 2,000 drones, targeting civilian targets “indiscriminately.”
