The national basketball team yesterday postponed its qualification for the second qualifying phase for the 2027 World Cup after losing to Romania, in Pitesti, by 101-96.
With the result, the team led by Mário Gomes still remains in one of the three qualifying places in group B, and is now forced to beat Montenegro at home, on July 2nd, closing four days later with the difficult trip to Greece.
Travante Williams with 33 points, three rebounds and two assists was the great figure of the national team.
