“Faced with the possibility of a tragedy of enormous proportions, I ask the parties involved to assume their moral responsibility and stop the spiral of violence before it becomes an irreparable abyss,” said the Supreme Pontiff before the crowd gathered in the Plaza de Saint Peter of the Vatican.
“Stability and peace are not built with reciprocal threats or with weapons, which sow destruction, suffering and death, but only with a reasonable, sincere and responsible dialogue“, declared Pope Leo XIV during the Angelus prayer this Sunday.
Furthermore, the leader of the world’s 1.4 billion Catholics claimed that “diplomacy recovers its role”.
He also asked, on the other hand, to resume urgently the “dialogue” between Afghanistan and Pakistan after several days of clashes between both countries.

Let us remember that since last Saturday, February 28, the world woke up to the attack committed by the United States and Israel against Iran. In response, the Arab nation launched a bombing in Tel Aviv in response to the hostilities committed.
