DUBAI, United Arab Emirates.— This Sunday, a huge explosion shook the capital of Iran while Israel warned that he would carry out “non-stop” attacks against their leaders and their army. Meanwhile, Iran launches more missiles at Israel y arab states of the Persian Gulf in retaliation for the death of its supreme leader in the American and Israeli attack that started the war.
Las explosions in Tehran —the purpose of which was not immediately clear—caused a huge column of smoke that rose into the sky in an area where there are government buildings. Iranian authorities say more than 200 people have died since the American and Israeli bombing began.
Dead in Israel
In Tel Aviv Loud explosions caused by missile hits or interceptions could be heard. Israel’s rescue services said eight people were killed and 28 wounded in an attack in the central city of Beit Shemesh.

The president of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkianannounced Sunday that a new leadership council “has begun its work.” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Al Jazeera that “in a day or two” they will elect a new supreme leader. “They have crossed our red line and must pay the price,” declared the speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Qalibafin a televised speech on Sunday. “We will deal such devastating blows that you yourselves will be forced to beg,” he said.

In a sign of how the attack could stoke regional unrest, hundreds of people stormed the US consulate in the Pakistani port city of Karachi on Sunday. Police and paramilitary forces used batons and tear gas to disperse the crowd, and at least nine people died in the clashes, according to authorities.
Iran retaliates
As U.S. and Israeli strikes have hit Iran, the Islamic Republic has retaliated with missile and drone strikes against Israel and nearby Gulf Arab countries hosting U.S. forces.
The air war could shake global markets, particularly if Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz for commercial traffic. About 20% of the world’s traded oil passes through the vital waterway, and oil prices are already set to swing.
In repeated barrages against targets across Israel, at least nine people were killed and more than 120 wounded, according to authorities. Many missiles were intercepted, the military said.
Saudi Arabia against attacks on Iran
Saudi Arabia condemned Iran’s attacks on its capital Riyadh and the eastern region, saying it had successfully intercepted them. The kingdom noted that it had not allowed its airspace or territory to be used to target Iran.
Jordan said it “dealt with” 49 drones and ballistic missiles. The militaries of Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar also said they had intercepted projectiles on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, in Iraq, a militia group claimed responsibility for a drone attack against US bases in Irbil, according to Rudaw. Smoke could be seen from an area where the United States has an air base there, but it was not immediately clear if it had been hit. Iran forms a council to govern until a new supreme leader is elected.
