Formal accusation against man who offered apartment for massacre of Brazilians

The man who was arrested and now accused of “committing crimes of discrimination and incitement to hatred and violence, is 30 years old. public instigation to commit murder, public apology for crime, illicit recordings and possession of a prohibited weapon, for having published on social media a publication in which he incited violence against a group of people of foreign nationality”, in this case, Brazilians. The accused was placed in preventive detention at the time, in an unprecedented case. The detainee had posts on social media in which he offered, as a reward, an apartment in the center of Lisbon to anyone who carried out a massacre and exterminated Brazilians. In addition, it also offered 100 thousand euros to anyone who attempted “the life of a Brazilian journalist working in Portugal”.

The journalist in question is Stefani Costa, who had received images months earlier of Bruno Silva holding weapons. The professional filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the case is being processed by the Lisbon Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DIAP).

The same PJ, through the National Counterterrorism Unit, conducted the investigations that would lead to the indictment of the accused.
