WASHINGTON.- The United States government closed one of the most relevant files in the fight against drug trafficking after confirming the death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho”former leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), and lift the security restrictions he imposed on his personnel in Mexico.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) also updated the reward sign, which for years offered up to 15 million dollars for information leading to his capture, one of the highest figures in the State Department’s Narcotics Rewards Program.
