Cristiano Ronaldo acquires 25% of UD Almería and expands investments in football

Cristiano Ronaldo bought 25% of UD Almería, a team from the Spanish second league, through CR7 Sports Investments, a subsidiary of CR7 SA that manages the national team captain’s investments in the sports sector.

“Cristiano Ronaldo announces the acquisition of a 25% stake in Spanish Second Division club Unión Deportiva Almería (UD Almería), which represents a significant step in the continued expansion of his global investment portfolio,” reads a statement.

“I have always had the ambition to contribute to football beyond the field of play. UD Almería is a club with solid foundations and a clear potential for growth”, says Cristiano Ronaldo, showing himself enthusiastic about contributing to the next stage of the club’s development, together with management.

The president of UD Almería, Mohamed Al Khereiji, in turn, says he is very satisfied with Ronaldo’s choice to invest in the club. “He is considered the best player of all time, he knows the Spanish leagues very well and understands the potential of what we are building here, both in terms of the team and the academy, he said.

Almería currently occupies third place in the Spanish Second League.
