Brazil highlights cultural diversity at Lisbon’s largest tourism fair

This year, BTL has Brazil as a guest international destination and has almost 50 Brazilian exhibitors. Whether direct stands from cities and states, airlines, agencies and other related companies and startups based in Brazil. The group, led by Embratur, occupies almost an entire pavilion, with programs involving gastronomy, culture and art.

For the Secretary of Tourism of the city of São Paulothe results of Brazilian participation in BTL are notable. According to Rui Alves, after attending the 2025 edition, “the number of events and the growth of local tourism within the city of São Paulo was gigantic, around 34%, just due to the set of contacts and connections established, which was directly reflected”, he explains to DN Brasil.

“We came to be present with our own stand, to sell gastronomy tourism, historical equipment, major events. It’s a fair in which we talk to the trade European. We will receive three million foreign tourists in the city in 2025, it is very significant and it is worth investing in fairs in Europe”, adds Rui Alves.
