Benfica scores and joins Sporting in the quarter-finals of the Youth League

This Wednesday, February 25th, Benfica joined Sporting in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League, beating Dutch side AZ Alkmaar 6-2 at Seixal.

The Reds will now face Inter Milan on March 18, in Italy, while the Lions, who on Tuesday beat Germans Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 (goalkeeper Siljevic’s own goal), will also face Real Madrid, who beat Chelsea 1-0, away from home.

The Benfica team didn’t give AZ Alkmaar a chance, as at half-time they were already leading 4-1. Center forward Francisco Silva was particularly notable, with three goals, and the other accurate shots belonged to Jadon Umeh, Gonçalo Oliveira and Miguel Figueiredo.
