A fire started in the early afternoon of this Sunday, February 22, in a fruit warehouse in Casais de Capeleira, in the municipality of Óbidos.
Around 100 firefighters were mobilized to the scene, and it is possible to see an extensive column of smoke coming out of the building that is being consumed by flames.
So far there are no reports of injuries caused by the fire.
However, according to RTP, which cites a Civil Protection source, a firefighter from Óbidos suffered minor injuries and was transported to the Caldas da Rainha hospital, after his vehicle crashed when he was heading to the barracks to change into uniform to fight the fire.
