This weekend will make you miss the sun, whether it’s washing clothes or going for a walk. After several weeks of intense rain and overcast skies, the sun once again predominates in practically the entire country, according to the forecast from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA). The weather will remain stable until at least Tuesday, February 24th.
In addition to the blue sky and few clouds, temperatures also rise. Maximum temperatures can reach 23 degrees, especially on Sunday, February 22nd. These will be days reminiscent of spring, a season that officially arrives in the Northern Hemisphere in less than a month, on March 20th.
By this height, an increase in the length of days is also beginning to be noticed. Daylight saving time starts March 29, when clocks must be set forward one hour.
However, this spring anticipation ends on Tuesday afternoon, with the return of rain. The highest volumes of precipitation are forecast for the north of the country on Wednesday, February 25. Temperatures also drop and approach 10 degrees. Even so, the return of rain will not be accompanied by warningsresulting only from the passage of a frontal system through the territory.
