Trump talks about peace as “an easy word to say but difficult to achieve”

The first meeting of Donald Trump’s Peace Council is already underway, with the US president speaking.

“The Peace Council is one of the most important and consequential things I’ll be involved in, I think,” Trump said. “In terms of power and prestige there has never been anything like the Peace Council”, he added.

“A word easy to say, but difficult to achieve: peace”, said the president, who once again said that in one year he managed to end eight wars and was confident that there would be a new one on the way. “We’ll see,” he insisted, remembering that the war in Ukraine was what he thought would be easiest to resolve.

Trump thanked the leaders present, deviating from the written speech while thanking each one.

“Almost everyone has accepted and those who haven’t yet are playing smart. But that doesn’t work. You can’t play smart with me”, mentioned.
