UNITED STATES.- At least two people, including a girl, died and three others were injured this Monday in a shooting that occurred during a hockey game at a hockey rink. pawtucket icein the state of Rhode Island, where the attacker also died, according to reports from local authorities and media.

Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves said at a news conference that the three people hospitalized are in critical condition and that the second victim died in the hospital.
The event took place after three in the afternoon, local time, during a hockey game between teams from an institute that was held at the covered ice rink of the town’s Lynch Arena, which also hosted a school tournament in which at least five teams from the area participated, the report adds.

Goncalves corroborated the initial versions that suggest that the shooting had a “target” and it could have been due to a “family dispute“, but did not state whether the victims are related to the aggressor or their age.
CNN, citing police sources, indicated that the event appeared to stem from a domestic dispute, since The aggressor shot members of his own family. The authorities confirmed that shooting suspect deceased and suggested that he committed suicide with the gun.

Later, the head of public schools in northern Providence, capital of Rhode Island, Joseph Soho, told the Providence Journal that “all students involved in the game are safe” and that the shooting, which occurred at the beginning of the game, involved spectators.
