The movement of vehicles and pedestrians will be banned for the next two months on the main access road to the beaches of Costa de Caparica, between Praia do Rei and Praia da Bela Vista, the city council of Almada announced this Monday, February 16th.
In a note published on its official page, the Municipal Council of Almada, in the district of Setúbal, explained that the ban will be in force until April 16, with only emergency vehicles allowed to pass through.
The conditioning, according to the municipality, results from the completion of the 1st phase of the contract to improve access to the beaches, which includes paving work.
“The City of Almada thanks everyone, users and concessionaires, for their understanding, highlighting that this is a necessary intervention to qualify and improve access to this Atlantic front of the city”, highlights the city hall.
