O Public This Sunday, February 15th, the SUS has carried out more than 19 thousand obesity surgeries in the last five years. According to this newspaper, there are 1811 patients with obesity on the list of those registered for surgery in the SUS and the average waiting time is almost five months. Treatment does not end after critically ill patients leave the block.
Already the News Journal writes that thousands of young people with disabilities do not have a place in support centers. “With no alternatives, there are families who opt for places in nursing homes or parents who stop working to stay at home with their children. The Government confirms that it is reviewing the CACI legislation and that 85 projects are in the works, under the PRR, to open more places”, it reads.
