Three people die in a snow avalanche in the French Alps

PARIS, France.- This Friday, local authorities reported that three people died in the ski resort of Val d’Isère victims of a snow avalanche which occurred when they were skiing in an off-piste area.

The avalanche occurred around noon and dragged a group of five skierswho were equipped (avalanche radio transmitter, shovel and probe) and accompanied by a professional, said the Town Hall of Val d’Isère.

Intervention of rescue services

Despite the rapid intervention of rescue servicesthree of the five people affected died, according to the same source.

The risk of avalanches is especially high in the Alps this Friday.
