“The Lisbon Tourism Job Fair is the ideal opportunity for those looking for work in an urban center full of movement, growth and multiple professional possibilities”, highlights the initiative. In the tourism sector, which includes restaurants and hotels, for example, immigrant labor is essential. According to data from Banco de Portugal, one in three professionals is of foreign nationality. Of these, Brazilian men and women are the majority.
According to the Employment and Professional Training Institute (IEFP), the fair is an opportunity to “get in touch with top companies”, “stand out face to face with recruiters”networking and “finding new areas and new job opportunities”. The event will be held in Sala Tejo at MEO Arena, in Parque das Nações, from 2pm to 5:30pm.
The fairs have stands from companies that are looking for professionals. “Interested candidates can visit the stands, interact directly with companies and clarify doubts about available opportunities.” The guideline is to bring your CV, whether in printed or digital format.
Since the fair began in 2016, more than 40 thousand people have participated in their job search. In each edition, around 100 connections are made between candidates and companies interested in hiring professionals. The Tourism Job Fair will also be held in Porto, on March 11th, at Palácio da Bolsa. In Coimbra, it is scheduled for March 17th, at Convento São Francisco. As registrations are also online and in advance.
