Companies now have until the 25th of each month to pay Social Security contributions

Companies will now have until the 25th of each month (or the next business day, if this coincides with a weekend or holiday) to pay Social Security contributions.

“The deadline for paying employers’ contributions to Social Security has been extended, offering greater flexibility in fulfilling contribution obligations”reads a note published on Wednesday in institute website.

Thus, if until now companies had until the 20th of each month to pay contributions, with this change “the payment deadline will now be the 25th of each month (or the next business day, if this coincides with a weekend or holiday)”.

With this update, “contributions for the month of January can now be paid until February 25th”, adds Social Security.
