Footballers Alexander Bah and Richard Ríos joined Benfica’s training this Wednesday, November 11th in a “progressive” manner, with a view to the clash with Santa Clara, in the 22nd round of the Portuguese First League, informed the ‘reds’.
The Danish right-back, who has not played since February 8, 2025, and the Colombian midfielder, absent from the pitch for a month, were under the orders of coach José Mourinho, at the Benfica Campus, in Seixal.
Despite having already stepped onto the pitch, the two players are unlikely to be part of the ‘red’ delegation that will travel to the Azores, where Benfica must win to continue dreaming of winning the championship, which has eluded them since the 2022/23 season.
Benfica occupies third place in the championship, with 49 points, against 52 from second-placed Sporting and 56 from leader FC Porto, so a victory in Ponta Delgada, on Friday, translates into a provisional support for vice-leadership, with the same points as the lions.
