The Italian bank Unicredit ended 2025 with a net profit of 10,579 million euros, 13.6% more than in the previous year, a record result, the entity said in a note released this Monday, 9.
Unicredit reported revenues of 24,536 million euros in 2025, 1.3% less than the 24,865 million in the previous year, while operating costs were 9,441 million euros, 0.4% more than the 9,407 million in 2024.
Loans reached 419,032 million euros, an increase of 3.6% compared to 404,319 million in 2024, and gross impaired credits amounted to 12,084 million euros, an increase of 8.3% compared to 11,158 million in the previous year.
As for the CET1 solvency ratio, it was 14.7% compared to 15.9% in 2024.
The good annual results were recorded despite a last quarter of 2025 in which net profit was 1,883 million euros compared to 1,564 million in the same quarter of the previous year, an increase of 17.2%, and 30% less compared to the previous three months.
The group also presented its financial forecasts and aims to increase its net revenues to more than 25,000 million euros in 2026 and around 27,500 million in 2028.
For this year, net profits are expected to be around 11,000 million euros, while for 2028, 13,000 million.
Italy’s second largest bank also updated its strategic guidelines, now called “UniCredit Unlimited”, promising its shareholders approximately 30,000 million euros over the next three years and around 50,000 million over the following five years.
