As if it were the famous character Hannibal Lecter (played by Anthony Hopkins in The Silence of the Lambs), the New England Patriots player, Mack Hollins, arrived at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco dressed in a prisoner’s suit, with a plastic mask, hands cuffed and barefoot.
The receiver appeared at Super Bowl LVIII in an outfit that included handcuffs and shackles, a look that simulated that of a maximum security prisoner.
Hollins entered with the inscription “Range-13” on his clothing, which makes direct reference to the ADX Florence, the maximum security federal prison in the United States, located in Colorado and known as “the Alcatraz of the Rockies.”

Hollins, who once requested to play barefoot (which he was not allowed) and who does not use utensils when eating, is also known for prioritizing his mental well-being and maintaining an unconventional lifestyle. In addition, Hollins is nicknamed the ‘NFL Tarzan and maintains a diet that consists of unpasteurized milk, raw meat and fruit.
He also went so far as to say that water is useless and that he only drinks watermelon juice.
Hollins is on his sixth team in nine seasons and is characterized by having a fearless, strong game and capable of resolving last-minute plays. Mack signed a two-year contract with the Patriots in 2025. He has become an important piece for the team and little by little he gains more popularity for his eccentricities.
