“We can confirm without mistake that His Holiness never met Jeffrey Epstein nor did he authorize anyone to view or interact with him on his behalf“adds the statement.
Epstein case
The state chain China Global Television Network (CGTN) reported Thursday that the Dalai Lama appears at least 169 times in the Epstein case documents.
According to CGTN, a 2012 email from a censored sender suggested a person attend an event on an island where “The Dalai Lama would come.”
The mere mention of a person’s name in the Epstein documents It does not imply that that person committed a reprehensible act.

Epstein was convicted in 2008 of soliciting the services of a minor for prostitution and committed suicide in 2019 while he was in prison.
Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize and 90 years old, the Dalai Lama was only 23 years old when he fled the Tibetan capital Lhasa, fearing for his life after Chinese troops suppressed an uprising in 1959.
