Benfica beats Alverca with a goal from Anísio Cabral in the final moments (see the goals)

This Sunday, February 8, Benfica beat Alverca 2-1, in the 21st round of the I League.

The Reds found it very difficult to win the three points, something they managed only in the 86th minute thanks to a goal from Anísio Cabral, a young under-17 world champion striker, who had entered the field a minute earlier to replace Schjelderup.

José Mourinho’s team even took an early lead with a goal from Norwegian Schjelderup in the 15th minute, but at half an hour Figueiredo equalized and left Luz worried.

The truth is that in the second half Benfica tried to take the advantage by all means, totaling 29 shots, 10 of which were blocked, and even saw a goal disallowed by Pavlidis.

Benfica fans only sighed with relief when Anísio scored his second goal in the main team, winning the three points that leave the team waiting for the result of the classic to find out if they will recover points for rivals FC Porto and Sporting or just for one.
