Civil Protection considered this Saturday, February 7th, that the national territory has “a complex meteorological situation of risk”, warning of the strong and persistent wind caused by depression Marta that will move to the north of the country.
“We recently completed another update of the meteorological table, together with the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere and the Portuguese Environment Agency. We maintain the forecasts for today of strong and persistent wind, although there is a displacement of depression Marta to the north of the country and, therefore, affecting other regions that until now were not expected to affect”, said the national commander of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority.
Mário Silvestre was speaking at the situation report held at 12:40 at the headquarters of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), in Carnaxide, municipality of Oeiras, district of Lisbon.
