António José Seguro ended the rally in Lisbon this Thursday with a direct attack on André Ventura, hoping, therefore, that voters understand the importance of voting. “I will work every day of my five years in office, in return I ask you to work hard to get as many Portuguese people to vote. I’m often told that it’s won. Well, it’s not won, that’s what our opponent wants you to think. We need to vote so we don’t wake up to a nightmare on Sunday”, stressed the candidate supported by the PS.
There was visible displeasure with André Ventura having used the media space to request the postponement of the elections, which, constitutionally, would not be possible, but during the day Seguro was not confrontational. This time, at night, at Forum Lisboa, before his supporters, he saw the opponent’s statements as “a small maneuver.” “The more votes he has, the more electoral strength the President of the Republic has to make demands on the Government”, he stated.
