A ‘rural Big Brother’ in the towns where hooded thieves have stolen the peace: "Every time a strange car passes by, they write down the license plate"


Salas Bajas is a small town in Somontano, Huesca, that was attacked by hooded men on Christmas Eve: at the beginning of December, the criminals broke into four homes and fifteen days later, they insolently returned and attacked another seven. They were looking for gold and cash but they took away the tranquility of the neighborhood. To protect itself from criminals, the town has turned to Big Brother and is filling the entrances and streets with video surveillance cameras. The image is repeated throughout rural Spain. Read
