The platform to request support of up to 10 thousand euros for reconstruction following the Kristin depression will be available on Thursday morning, on the website of the Center’s Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR).
“In support of up to 10 thousand euros, which we are providing with total urgency, starting tomorrow [quinta-feira]at CCDR Centro, will now be available, I already have confirmation”, Paulo Fernandes, responsible for the Mission Structure for the Recovery of Areas Affected by the Kristin depression, told the Lusa agency.
The CCDR Centro website is www.ccdrc.pt.
From February 5th, the platform can “start receiving applications, in accordance with the regulations that came out today”, declared Paulo Fernandes.
This official explained that there was a need to “wait for the regulations to come out”, and from Thursday onwards people “can immediately make their applications”.
The regulation “makes a differentiation of up to five thousand euros even more expeditiously and the other five thousand euros require further validation”.
“All citizens who have a loss, and not just citizens, also companies, businesses, who, obviously, have issues after insurance that will be analyzed, but everyone can access the platform and, more quickly, be able to receive support more directly”, added Paulo Fernandes.
On Tuesday, the president of this mission structure stated that the platform for asking for support should be available online by Wednesday.
According to a resolution by the Council of Ministers published in Diário da República, the support granted by the State, within the scope of the damage caused by storm Kristin, of up to 5,000 euros for the reconstruction of housing and temporary accommodation does not require an audit and can be requested with photographs.
In relation to permanent housing, expenses incurred to cover “works and interventions necessary for the repair, rehabilitation or reconstruction of permanent housing damaged by storm ‘Kristin’, integrated into a building located in the covered municipality and effectively used as the household’s habitual residence”, as well as temporary relocation expenses, duly justified by the impossibility of using the affected housing, are eligible.
To this end, the diploma states that the “eligible cost is determined based on an estimate prepared under the responsibility of the City Council and validated by the CCDR [Comissão de Coordenação e Desenvolvimento Regional] territorially competent, and unit cost references may be used by type of work”.
According to the Government, the public contribution for each operation is “100% of the remaining eligible expenditure after deducting insurance compensation and other support, with a global limit of 10,000 euros, per dwelling”.
