Report from the General Directorate of Health, referring to 2023, released this Wednesday, World Cancer Day, reveals that the standardized cancer rate has reduced compared to 2022 and that survival after five years of diagnosis has increased – especially in breast cancer, with 90% of patients achieving it, and in prostate cancer, with 96%. Coordinator of the national program says that “there are strengths”, but also “improvements to be made”.
