The Prime Minister stated this Tuesday, February 3, that the Government is focused on “solving problems and not responding to criticism”, admitting that it is difficult to solve “all problems at the same time”.
Luís Montenegro visited a water reservoir and a plastics company in Pombal this Tuesday, accompanied by the Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion, Manuel Castro Almeida, and the president of the Mission Structure for Reconstruction of the Central Region of the Country, Paulo Fernandes, created to respond to the effects of Storm Kristin, which caused at least ten deaths, direct and indirect.
The visit lasted around an hour and the Prime Minister sought, on the one hand, to find out about the problems in both places and, on the other, to explain the package of measures already approved by the Government on Sunday, which includes support for families, businesses and reconstruction.
Asked by the media about the criticism that the Minister of Internal Administration, Maria Lúcia Amaral, has been subjected to, Montenegro replied: “We are focused on solving the problems, we are not focused now on responding to criticism”.
“We are focused on looking at each person, each family and being able to provide a solution to their problem. And we know that it is very difficult to solve all problems at the same time”, he admitted.
