A PSP agent, on duty at Francisco Sá Carneiro airport, in Porto, was today dragged approximately 200 meters by a car that was being inspected, and was transported to Hospital São João, an official police source revealed.
Speaking to Lusa, the source explained that the incident occurred at 11:00, when the driver of the vehicle ordered to stop took off as soon as he realized he was going to be inspected, and the agent ended up being dragged until he managed to free himself.
The driver continued to escape, but was intercepted and detained further ahead, he added.
At 2:00 pm, the PSP source was unaware of the severity of the injuries suffered by the traffic division officer.
