Consulate’s Brazilian Women’s Space launches “You Have a Voice” campaign

“You Have a Voice” is the name of a campaign to prevent and combat violence against women in Portugal. The initiative is from the Consulate General of Brazil in Lisbon, through the Brazilian Women’s Space at the Consulate General of Brazil in Lisbon (EMuB).

In a statement sent to newspapers this Tuesday, February 3, the consulate explains that the campaign “it also addresses the experience of Brazilian immigrant women in Portugal, bringing personal testimonies and sharing experiences of Brazilian citizens in the country”. The main means of dissemination will be social media.

Stories, challenges and achievements of Brazilian women will be told, “promoting qualified conversations about rights, careers, entrepreneurship and life in society”. Always on Mondays and Thursdays, the consulate will publish new campaign videos on its social networks, “providing clarifications on how to identify situations of violence against women, guidance on how to seek help and information on women’s rights”.
