Six people had to be relocated overnight after a crane fell on five buildings in the center of Figueira da Foz, reported this Monday, February 2, the Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of the Coimbra Region.
The incident was recorded at 03:05 on Rua Bernardo Lopes.
In Lusa, at around 06:00, a source from the Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of the Coimbra Region pointed out that the crane fell on five buildings, making it necessary to evacuate residents and relocate six people.
“The authorities have detected some deficiencies in the infrastructure and measures are being taken,” said the source.
A source from the Figueira da Foz Firefighters Sapadores indicated that “no injuries were reported, but the damage will be considerable”.
